10 Days Wildlife, Chimpanzee & Gorilla Tracking: Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and road transfer to Nyungwe national park
On your arrival at Kigali airport, you will have a meet and greet with our representative and guide who will welcome you and then transfer you to Nyungwe national park.
Nyungwe national park is located in the Southern province- Ruzizi area. Nyungwe is famously known for inhabiting chimpanzees making the park frequently visited by chimpanzee lovers. Apart from chimpanzees, the park has other attractions such as the famous unique canopy walk, Isumo water falls, golden monkeys, tea plantation and bird species. On your arrival at Nyungwe, you will check in at Nyungwe Nziza Eco lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and Canopy walk
You will have an early breakfast and get ready to be transferred to the park headquarters as early as 5; 00am for chimpanzee trekking briefing. You will then head deep into the forest under the supervision of a guide for an opportunity to track these unique chimpanzees from a closer range. This experience will last from 2-3hrs and its unique in its own way. While tracking the chimpanzees, you should look out for other primate such as the colobus monkeys. After this amazing experience, you will return to your lodge for an early lunch and relaxation. You will later be picked to go for canopy walk, a 50m long trail from where you are able to view animals from above them. This trail is 5m above the trees and you will be able to see animals in their natural habitats. After this unique experience you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Road transfer to Akagera national park
You will start your day with breakfast at your time of convenience and then start on your journey to Akagera national park. You will have a stop over in Kigali town for lunch and refreshments and then proceed with your journey to Akagera. On your arrival at Akagera national park, you will check in at Akagera game lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Morning game drive and boat trip
Akagera national park is located in the North Eastern province, Kibungu district and it inhabits animals such as zebras, lion, buffaloes, leopards, giraffes, rhinos, impalas and water bucks. The highlight of this park is game drives(both day and night game drives). Other activities experienced at Akagera national park include; Behind the scene, Fishing, Boat safari and cultural tours. You will start your day with breakfast and set off for a morning game drive in the park to see animals such as the buffaloes, elephants, impalas, leopards, lion and others. At the end of the game drive, you will return to your lodge for lunch and resting. In the afternoon, you will be picked for a boat trip experience to see aquatic animals such as hippos and crocodiles plus several bird species on the water shores. You will then return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Game drive and transfer to Kigali
You will stat your day with breakfast and get ready for another game drive for an opportunity to catch on the animals which you could have missed out during your previous drive. After the game drive, you will head out of the park and be transferred to Kigali city for a city tour. You will have your lunch in Kigali city and then continue with the city tour to see attractions such as the genocide museum, Inema art gallery, Presidential museum, distilleries companies and others. You will then be taken to hotel Des Mille for dinner and over night stay.

Day 6: Road transfer to Volcanoes national park
Volcanoes national park that is located in the Northern Province at the Uganda-Rwanda –Congo border. This park is famously known for being a home to the rare mountain gorillas. The park has other attractions such as Golden monkeys, Musanze cave, Karisimbi mountain, Twin lakes of Bulera and Ruhonda, Dian Fossy tombs, to mention but a few.
You will wake up at your time of convenience, have breakfast and set off to Volcanoes national park. On your arrival at Volcanoes, you will check in at Tiloreza eco lodge for lunch and rest of the day relaxation.

Day 7: Gorilla tracking and cultural experience
You will begin your day with an early breakfast and be ready to head to the park headquarters for gorilla trekking briefing. You will then head into the park for a unique opportunity of discovering the 10 families of gorillas that lives with in this park. With the lead of a guide, you will be able to track these rare creatures from a closer range while they are in their habitats and this amazing experience may last up to 5hrs. After having a face to face with these rare mountain gorillas, you will return to your hotel for you lunch and afternoon relaxation. You will later be picked to go for Iby Iwacu village visit. This cultural village visit gives you a chance to meet with the local people in their homes and have a taste of their culture and traditions. The community you will visit will genuinely welcome as a special guest while they proudly present to you aspects of their beliefs and traditions. After this experience, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Golden monkey trekking and road transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
You will stat your day with breakfast and then be transferred to the park headquarters for golden monkey trekking. You will head into the forest to track the golden monkeys when they are just waking up in their natural habitats. After this experience, you will return to your lodge for an early lunch and then start on your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable national park.
Bwindi impenetrable national park is located in the South Western part of Uganda. The park is found with in the forest and Bwindi impenetrable forest is said to be Africa’s oldest rain forest and its worldly known for its excellent gorilla sighting opportunities. The park is a known world heritage site declared by UNESCO because of its breath taking natural beauty and unique ecological significance. The park is a home to half of the remaining mountain gorillas on earth and its blessed with other attractions like; the spectacular Virunga volcanoes, deep valleys, steep ridges, bird species, butterflies and Batwa culture.

Day 9: Gorilla tracking and vilage visit
You will start your day with a morning breakfast and get ready to be transferred to the park headquarters for gorilla trekking briefing. A guide will then lead you into the jungle to see the shy primates of the booked group. Please don’t forget to pack your lunch boxes before leaving your lodge as you will be having your lunch from the jungle. Gorilla trekking is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth and this experience lasts from 2-6hrs. After tracking the gorillas from a closer range in their habitats, you will be brought back to your lodge for afternoon relaxation. In the late afternoon, you will be picked to go for a village walk experience around Buhoma area. This village walk gives you a great chance to see how people surrounding the park live their lives. This walk is the most informative and rewarding to the average visitors and trusts me you will be amazed of how resourceful the local people are as you see and learn their ways of life.

Day 10: Road transfer to Queen and evening game drive
You will start your day with breakfast and get ready to be transferred to Queen Elizabeth. On your arrival at Queen Elizabeth, you will check in at Enganzi game lodge for lunch and afternoon relaxation. You will go for an evening game drive to view animals such as buffaloes, elephants, leopards, antelopes, impalas, lions and many others. From this activity, you will return to your lodge for dinner r and overnight stay.

Day 11: Boat trip and transfer to Murchison falls national park
You will start your day with breakfast and go for boat riding along Kazinga channel to see Aquatic animals of crocodiles and Hippos. Its from here that you can see crocodiles and hippos in large numbers. Actually Queen Elizabeth national park is said to have the largest concentration of crocodiles in the world. Its also during this boat trip along Kazinga channel that you can see buffaloes in hundreds of numbers when they are drinking water. After the boat trip, you will return to your lodge for an early lunch and set off to Murchison falls national park. On your arrival, you will check in at Fort Murchison hotel for relaxation. You will be picked to go for a night game drive to see animals such as elephants, leopards, buffaloes, lions, antelopes, leopards and others. You will then return to your lodge for dinner and night stay.

Day 12: Morning game drive and Boat trip
You will start your day with morning breakfast and get ready for a game safari drive. This game drive takes place in the park in the Delta area, Buligi peninsular and the Northern section of the park also known as the heart of Murchison. The Delta area gives visitors a chance to see lions while the peninsular area gives them a chance to see elephants, antelopes, buffaloes and giraffes. From the Northern section, visitors can view animals such as lions, leopards, water birds and hippos. After this game drive, you will be transferred back to your lodge for lunch and refreshments. You will later be picked for a boat ride along the Nile and proceed for the 3hr Murchison falls boat safari and this launch runs from Para to the base of the falls. The 3hr return journey is a good highlight of a trip to Murchison falls. While on this boat safari, you will view animals such as hippos and crocodiles, not forgetting bird species such as the rare shoe-bill.

Day 13: Hiking to the top of the falls and transfer to Lake Mburo national park
You will start your day with breakfast and be ready to be taken for hiking to the top of the falls. Murchison has the strongest and most powerful water falls in the world. You will hike to the top of this waterfalls and be able to view this unique experience as the water gushes out of a small gap, dropping down from the highest point. After enjoying this amazing experience, you will return to your lodge for lunch and get ready to be transferred to Lake Mburo national park. On your arrival, you will check in at Rwakobo lodge for dinner and night stay.

Day 14: Horse back riding and Boat trip
You will start your day with breakfast and get ready to be picked for horse back riding in the park. This amazing experience will give an opportunity to see animals such as kobs, zebras, lions, hyenas and leopards. After the horse back riding, you will return to your lodge for lunch and afternoon relaxation. You will later be picked in the evening for a sunset boat cruise on Lake Mburo with the ambition of seeing aquatic animals such as hippos. And watching bird species on the lake shores. After enjoying this refreshing and calm experience, you will return to your lodge for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 15:Transfer to Entebbe airport
You will start your last day with a warm breakfast and get ready to start on your journey to Kampala and then proceed with your journey to Entebbe international airport and that will mark the end of this half a month amazing safari.
